What we collect

DearBaby collects information you provide directly: your name, email address, and your baby's name and date of birth. We also store photos, videos, audio recordings, and milestone notes that you choose to upload.

How we use it

Your data is used solely to provide the DearBaby service — displaying memories in your app and on your baby's private website. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Photos and Face Recognition

Face recognition works entirely on your iPhone. Your photos and the faces in them are analysed on-device using Apple's Vision framework and an AI model built into the app. No photos, face data, or recognition models are ever sent to our servers or any third party. You can disable face recognition and delete all locally stored face data at any time from the Settings screen.

Data storage

Your data is stored on secure servers (Neon PostgreSQL, Vercel Blob Storage). Your baby's website is protected by a password you set during onboarding.

Your rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings screen. Contact us at privacy@dearbaby.ai for any data requests.
